Losing Weight & Feeling Great is a mental game as much as it is a physical one. Each of us must work hard to lead a healthy lifestyle in this fast-paced world.

Excuses are used all the time, “don’t have time”, “MAKE TIME”.

Make you your top priority, YOU are your own best friend.

Little food, little exercise, too much food, a lot of exercise.

Making a habit of daily physical activity, eating a balanced diet in moderation, getting the proper sleep, and enjoying entertainment programs for the relaxation of your mind which will help you keep your stress under control. For the best results, one must routinely keep away from all of those unhealthy practices (smoking, drinking coffee or alcohol, taking drugs or any kind of stimulant). Also, one should not eat an excess of sweets to deal with mental stress. In the long run, doing this may bring complications to our health in the form of diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, etc. For controlling stress, one must identify the stress points and understand their reason. Accordingly, one can make the necessary adjustments.

Understanding the value of time management is one example. To meet deadlines and not to fall into the last-minute rush of getting to appointments, the office, meetings, etc., one must plan everything in advance, considering unexpected troubles along the way.

Balance things out, use your own sense. Train your mind before you train your body. Faith and hope will help any person have better motivation and determination to reach their goal or achieve a target.

Life is what you make it, so make the most of it in a sensible way. For all of us, the feelings of happiness or sadness are a state of mind, caused by the actions of hormones. The chemical reaction that occurs in the brain makes the body act accordingly. The positive effect of physical exercise comes through the release of hormones and the feel-good effect due to the circulation of oxygen-enriched blood to the cells. This increases many functions of the body to release related hormones which helps to maintain a balance in ourselves.

Depression is the responsibility of the brain, and each of us takes a different route to suppress the actions of the brain to deal with excess stress. Some of us like to overeat, which releases excess energy into the blood and increases the release of other hormones to neutralize the effect of the previous action. Some may have the habits of smoking, drinking alcohol, or craving other sorts of stimulants to avoid feeling nervous impulses. All of these unhealthy practices may lead to several consequences, such as mental depression, weight gain, stress, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. Most of the time, we need professional help to change those habits, because the weaker our personality is, the harder it is to change unhealthy practices and habits.

The brain produces its hormones and chemicals or gives commands to produce related chemicals and enzymes to do the job. The production of these can be neutralized, increased, or reduced by taking controlled medicines on the advice of a specialist or doctor. Stimulants, recreational drugs, food or drinks filled with pesticides, and the polluted air we inhale all can affect the body. Its production of hormones and chemicals to maintain the equilibrium will be altered by all of these. The body attempts to combat the polluted items, without knowing their complete capacities, details, quantity, or the role they may play in the body, etc., once they reach the brain through blood circulation. With its action or reaction, the body may stimulate or suppress the production of related hormones, chemicals, enzymes, etc., by the glands. Detoxification of chemicals from our body through different activities becomes a necessity for leading a healthy lifestyle in today’s fast-paced world of global warming.

Some people confuse the addictions they have with the strength of their physical energy. For example, one who is in the habit of eating chocolates or sweets may feel very strong due to the sudden release of energy. Without having it daily, one may feel lethargic or tired. The same is true of an alcoholic person; without getting alcohol at the same time every day, he/she may feel down and show signs of nervousness.

Anything in excess will bring related trouble in the long run, so moderate your actions to keep a balance in everything you do in order to form healthy habits. Treat your mind well to have a healthy body, and treat your body well to have a healthy mind.

It’s important to maintain a balance within the brain, with its production of hormones and chemicals, by forming healthy habits. Choosing the right type of food, how frequently you eat it, its quality (whether it is organic or inorganic), and the right proportions for a balanced meal will lead to a better mental-physical relationship.

Many of us are the victims of small and large kinds of health issues caused by following unhealthy eating patterns. For example, not eating on time or skipping meals can harm our body’s performance. The brain gets information from the muscles to take action, to supply the energy requirements of the body. With the feeling of hunger, related hormones and chemicals are produced by the body. If these get pooled in the blood, we may have stomach acidity, headaches, and other sorts of physical and mental disturbances. Selecting the right food and eating at the right intervals will not only help the body to perform well physically, but will also help the brain function properly.

We must always understand this and give our brain special care by treating our body well, giving it the attention it needs throughout the day. If we do not eat on time, or if we treat our body with less care (for example, not getting the proper sleep, not doing physical activities, etc.), this will not only affect our physical performance, but also can affect the brain’s proper functioning. Changing our old unhealthy practices and following a new healthy lifestyle takes determination. One need loads of self-motivation to make the changes possible.

You must clearly understand the close relationship that exists between the physical body and the mind.

Start now, make the necessary changes so that you are physically and mentally on top and can live a good and healthy life.
